<![CDATA[BEAUTY IS FOUND IN THE UNRAVELING OF THINGS : I try to keep this in mind when I’m taking pictures or writing. When working, I’m under a wide range of influences, from Carlo Mollino and Slim Aarons to Mishima and Sherwood Anderson. Their genius doesn’t influence my output (how I wish it did!), but their voices whisper sweet nothings in my head, reminding me to be open to chance and circumstance. Stylistically, every photo I take is informed by my early dedication to Polaroid photography: the square format, natural light, soft tones, and most notably the imperative to capture the image on the first take.
I’m available for shoots and commissions (Polaroid/film/digital) worldwide through most of 2009. Contact me for availability and rates. As I’m also an accomplished writer, you can save some airfare by bringing me into your project for double duty.
